Check-in times for FANØLINJEN
FANØLINJEN is a shuttle service, so a return ticket is always included in your ticket. This means you do not have to worry about fixed check-in times.
The ferries operate a shuttle service with departures throughout the day, and the crossing only takes 12 minutes. This means that as a general rule, you can take the ferry that goes with your schedule – even if you have booked a ticket for a specific departure. Simply show up at the port and hop on the next ferry.

Cars for disabled persons & walking-impaired persons
FANØLINJEN takes special consideration for passengers with disabilities or who have difficulty walking.
Note that FANØLINJEN's ferries M/F Fenja, M/F Menja and E/F Grotte do not have a lift from the vehicle deck to the passenger deck, only stairs. The ferry M/F Grotte has a stairlift from the vehicle deck to the passenger deck at one end of the ship. Staying on the vehicle deck during the crossing is permitted unless dangerous goods are being transported.
As an alternative, persons with disabilities and walking-impaired persons people can board via the ramp from the dock to the ferry and will directly enter the passenger level with all facilities.
Assistance for walking-impaired persons and persons with disabilities
If you are travelling as a disabled person or if you are walking-impaired and need assistance during the crossing and for getting on/off the ferry, you must book disability assistance in advance by calling +45 70 25 10 25 at least 48 hours before your departure. For your trip, please check in at the port at least 30 minutes before departure.
Nordby and Esbjerg ports

Nordby
Parking is available at the port in Nordby. Both long-term and short-term parking is available here. Long-term parking is located at Færgestrand and short-term parking at Langelinie. Short-term parking is available at Langelinie, and parking is free on Fanø. Do not forget to check local parking conditions via signs in the parking grounds.
Esbjerg
Parking is available at the port in Esbjerg close to FANØLINJEN's ferry terminal. The following parking rules apply here:
Parking subject to payment (24 hours free) with a Q-park parking permit. Must be registered in the check-in machine or app when parking starts.
Parking permit from FANØLINJEN (Ø mark).
Parking permits with landowner/permanent camp-site resident agreements from FANØLINJEN via Q-park.
Do you have a dog or cat with you on the trip?
Dogs, cats and other similar pets are welcome on board FANØLINJEN. However, the following rules apply:
Dogs and other pets are allowed in the marked "dog areas" in the salon and on the bike deck.
Dogs must be kept on a short lead. Other animals must be carried in a cage or pet carrier and must not be a nuisance to other passengers.
Therefore, you may want to consider leaving your pet in the car during the crossing. Just be aware that access to the vehicle deck is not permitted during the crossing.
Dogs are allowed on the outdoor sun deck.
